Bounce Gymnastics
Arrival & Departure Policy

The primary objective of this document is to set the policy and procedures relating to the safe arrival and departure of children using the facilities at Bounce Gymnastics.

We ask that children arrive at and leave the gym in a manner that safeguards their health, safety and wellbeing. Our staff will assist in this by adhering to clear procedures regarding the drop off and collection of children and ensuring that families understand their requirements and responsibilities.

  • Do not exceed the speed limit in the complex of 5km per hour.

  • Parents and visitors must only park in marked car spaces close the gym.

Arrival of children

  • All children must be either walked into the gym by their parents or let out in the drop off zone in front of the undercover area upon arrival. They must never be let out in the carpark to walk through the carpark.

  • Children are not to be left at the gym unattended at any time prior to the opening of the premises.

  • Bounce Gymnastics recognizes that many of our gymnasts may travel significant distances to attend their classes. That depending on traffic and other variables, they may arrive much earlier than when their class commences. However, gymnasts under 18 years must be directly supervised by their parent/guardian until the commencement of class, unless prior arrangement from the gymnast’s coach/es or Bounce Gymnastics office is obtained. This is primarily because in the event of an emergency, Bounce Gymnastics may need to evacuate all patrons, and if a gymnast is present in our facilities without Bounce Gymnastics employee knowledge, their safety may be at risk. Bounce Gymnastics is not responsible for the supervision of a gymnast without having knowledge of their presence in and movement around Bounce Gymnastics facilities.

  • All classes include a warm-up component ensuring gymnasts are ready physically and mentally for planned activities. For this reason, and because of disruption that late arrivals cause to the learning of others, if a gymnast arrives 10 or more minutes late to a class, they may be declined entry and therefore unable to participate. The decision will be made by the coach at that time. Parents/Guardians will be advised that if this becomes a regular occurrence, they are required to speak to the office and make arrangements for an alternative class. In cases where a more suitable class, day or time can be agreed upon, gymnasts will need to withdraw from their current class and enroll in the alternative class.

Collection of children

  • Children must be collected promptly at the conclusion of their class from the exit door on the left side of the building by their parents or people the parents have arranged to collect them on their behalf.

  • Bounce Gymnastics should be notified if the parent (or person responsible for picking up the child) will be later than expected. In such an instance, and at the conclusion of the class, the gymnast will be required to remain seated in the parent waiting area inside the gym, to ensure their coach or another Bounce Gymnastics employee has line of sight of them until such time as the parent/guardian arrives. If a gymnast, on repeat occasions, is not collected within 5 minutes of the end of their class, a late pickup fee may be applied. This fee will be calculated at $15 for every 15 minutes, or part thereof, and the charge processed on the parent/guardian account.

  • If there are any parental/custodial court orders in place, you must notify us in writing and discuss the restrictions in person with the owner of the business.

  • It is the responsibility of the parents to make sure their child/children know who will be collecting them from the facility.

  • It is the parents' responsibility to inform the gym club owner or coach if someone apart from parents/ guardian shall be picking up their child from gymnastics.

  • Bounce Gymnastics staff will check ID to match with the name of any other person to pick up a child, if not the parents.

  • Bounce Gymnastics recognizes that many of our gymnasts may need to leave before their class concludes. This may be because of medical or non-medical reasons. In such instances, Bounce Gymnastics requires parents/guardians to ensure they have advised their gymnast’s coach/es by email or via the Parent Portal, in advance so as not to significantly disrupt classes or Bounce Gymnastics programming.

In the event of any emergency, Bounce Gymnastics reserves the right to act as staff deem appropriate. This is to ensure the safety of all our visitors.

If required, Bounce Gymnastics will seek and rely on assistance from the NSW Police Force and act in the best interest of all parties.

All Bounce Gymnastics policies and procedures are available at the front desk of the gym & on our website.
