What should my child wear to gymnastics class and is there anything they will need to bring?

Please see our Uniform Requirements Policy for more information.

Children only need to bring a drink of water with them. Gymnastics is done barefoot, so any shoes and socks the children wear into the gym will be taken off before class begins.

My child has done gymnastics elsewhere and is interested in competing/ has been training in competition squads. How do I enquire about Competitive programs?

We offer competitive programs and development squads through to Level 10 for girls. We do not offer a competitive program for boys as yet as we do not have the equipment to support the program. If you would like to enquire about the competitive program please click on the competitive tab. Please keep in mind that this program is for selection only by the Club Owner and Competitive Head Coach

My child is unable to attend a class, what should I do?

There is no need to contact us. You can simply go into your parent portal and mark your child away. You can even do this in advance if you know your child will be away. Once the class has been physically missed, you will be able to book a make up lesson for any KinderGym, KinderRec, Recreational or Advanced Recreational classes. Squads and Competitive Levels are not eligible for make up classes.

I was wondering if it is possible to attend a session as a trial?

All fees are automatically added to your account when you register for a class. No fees are payable until after the first class. If after the first class you do not wish to continue, we ask that you let us know so that we can remove all transactions and archive your account. If you do wish to continue then all fees will need to be paid in full before the next session, this includes the registration fee and the initial class.

No. You will need to re-enroll each term. Emails are sent out to notify current parents when classes are opening up for bookings for the new term. Current members will have one week to enroll before the classes go up on the website for new members to enroll. If you wait too long you may miss out on your position in a class, so make sure you book in quickly when classes open.

What am I charged for in the term fees?

Each term is worked out based on the weeks within the term. You will not be charged for public holidays as we are closed on those days and these will be automatically deducted when you enroll. You will see this in the discounts. Initial classes are included in these costs. Fees will be pro-rated upon enrollment when starting part way into a term.

Are there any discounts if I put more than one of my children into classes at Bounce?

Yes, discounted rates apply to the fees of the sibling with the lowest term fees

How are your classes graded?

Children are initially put into our White, Orange and Blue classes based on their age. From there they will work through the coloured program as they progress through their skills. We have Grading Days each term around week 8 for children to attend. These days will give feedback to parents about their child's progress as well as letting us know if a child is ready to move up into a new colour grade and begin working on new skills

Can my child start any time of the year?

Yes, unlike a lot of other sports, you can join a class any time as our coaches work with the level of the students.

What qualifications do your coaches have?

All of our coaches are qualified and accredited with Gymnastics Australia. They have their required level of accreditation and those over the age of 18 have their Working with Children Check.

Can I stay and watch my child?

Yes of course. We do have a small seating area for parents to view their children during their class. We do encourage parents to drop and go and then take part of our pick up circle to collect your children at the end of the class.

Why doesn't my child always have the same coach?

Our coaches are allocated to an ongoing roster to ensure consistency for the student, however there are times when your child may have another coach. This could be if a coach is off sick, on holidays, when competitions are on or other personal reasons. In these times we allocate a coach with the same level off coaching accreditation to cover the class.
